WHAT WAS THAT COULDN'T BE!

Sitting all alone in the labyrinth of my memories

Reminiscing old and unfading events in my memories

Thinking of what was that couldn't be 

Memories refusing to fade into the thin air

The joys we thought we had, the brilliance of innocence.

Pictures of you, pictures of me hanging high

Let all the world see us and admire the love

Love that used to mean something, now means nothing

Senescent pictures!

I remember when we used to stay awake through the night

Counting the stars, looking at the starry sky 

Sometimes we would laugh at nothing at all

The drinks we shared, the late night drive throughs 

The mornings we could wake up and stare at each other

Those moments kept me alive, kept my heart beating

Those moments belonged to us...

My best gave me one best advice

Hold on to the great ideas in the ivory towers of your mind

the good times, the good moments 

Celebrate the good that was and not gloat over ended times

What was, that was never meant to be, whats lost.

Ghosts are only an illusion of the mind

People think they have seen them, but how many have?

People change, strive to be the best!

Cherish the best moments with your friends

Celebrate what you got

Don't cry over what has not been 

For sometimes, by losing the war, you find new means of winning the battle...
