The Death of Compassion... The Birth of Cruelty

The death of compassion... The birth of cruelty

The foul stench of compassion pollutes the earth
In memorial of goodness, we salute with highest tribute
A gallant fighter he was, but now no more
We can only reminisce past glories
And look forward to a time of resurrection
Maybe compassion will rise again!

Why should I care, when nobody does
A poor vagabond, running from war
Lost, dirty, broken skin, bleeding, hurting
Cracked rough hands and feet, empty stomach
Sacrificed for trivial reasons, to feed the machine
The singer would enchant it emphatically.

Behind every good deed, lies a compassionate heart!
Behind every bullet, lies grease to a capitalist's elbow.
Behind every smile, lies a broken heart
Behind every tear, lies strength to the sadomasochist!
Compassion is indeed dead and buried!

Why would I chant a loving song of love and  goodness
While young children are considered a hindrance to a mother's life?
When they are compelled and subjected to begging for scraps...
Children given out to gratify the pleasures of disoriented sick individuals?
To satisfy the selfishness of ingratuitous elders!?
And nobody seems to care!

Behind every masquerading drug lord
A lost generation of youths rallies behind...
Incensing him as benefactor,
The smoke of that insence choking their fragile lungs
A life robbed before it's realised, a fattened pocket of somebody!

Oh posterity, when will you judge!?
Oh, compassion, when will you rise!?
Rest on, oh gallant fighter, you'll be cherished
Reign oh cruelty, dark is the long hours of your day,
One day, we'll rediscover ourselves
And rise again...

Beautiful piece of a poetic mind. The generation filled with hearts of stone. Headless!
