The Death of Compassion II

One man of old, in ancient times
Fed 5000 people
In modern times
5000 people feed one man
He claims, bring all you have, your freedom inclusive
Follow me!!!

O brave compassion,
Quickly gone, forgotten
Written on sand
Blotted out by the wind.

A suffering father,
Broke, no work, stripped of everything!
A wasteful woman behind him
Destroying everything they build
I don't give a damn, she scoffs and bluffs!

A poor widow, grieving, weeping at loss
A greedy relation, taking over all
What of the orphans, and their welfare?
They should leave! He bloats and grunts
Like a pig screaming for life!

Brother feasts on steak behind the hedges
 Fattens like baobab
Sister stands in the streets,  craving for handouts
Thins like toothpick
It's civilisation, I for myself.

A powerless harmless child
A deranged callous elder to prey on her
A future destroyed before it's begun
Self satisfaction at play
Who will police the police?

A prisoner sitting in the dungeon, in rehabilitation
A court of sitting conspiring rich fools
Plotting they pounce and gnaw on the unsuspecting individual...
He'll see when he gets there
Let him open his eyes...

O brave compassion...
Dead and burried...
