A Silent Agony

A quiet storms sieves my soul

A silent agony brews within me

Consuming deep the crevice of my soul

Watching myself being eaten away...

A silent cry: no mouth yet I must scream! 

Words uttered, words reserved, unused! 

Yet, louder the impact, so grievous.

Unrelenting!

I quietly watch myself eaten away

Love! A burning consuming desire

Hatred! An outcome of unbridled desire

A cry for help...

God! Dead silence echoes within me...

A response rises

Humanity! Nothing can be done, hopeless...

A false assurance,  a baseless hope!

A smile in my eyes 

A tear on my lips...

A Silent agony 

seeing myself eaten away...

Yet, I cannot do anything about it
